SLBoardView - for viewing and exploring Printed Circuit Board layout designs in various data formats

SLBoardView allows for easy import of PCB layout designs and shows the board geometry in a powerful graphic viewer. As a stand-alone tool and provided with similar viewing functionality as common PCB layout tools SLBoardView enables detailed investigations of layout structures without needing direct access to the PCB layout system. Very useful functions, e.g. impedance calculator plus editor help you in your day to day work. SLBoardView is ideal to demonstrate to the layout engineers required layout changes, e.g. to fulfill electromagnetic compatibility.

The built-in impedance calculator enables you to easily calculate and analyze the characteristic resistance. Viewing of the layout within SLBoardView is much more convenient than with the PCB layout tool as such. During layout development there is often the need either to present an interim version of a PCB layout or to write documentations which contain screenshots of the current PCB design phase. This can be done with either SLBoardView or the layout tool. In most cases in a production environment however it is difficult to obtain direct access to the layout tool for those kinds of tasks.
