CableMod - for Signal Integrity and EMC/EMI simulations
CableMod is unique for its capabilities to help investigating all SI, EMC, and EMI behaviors. You can analyze single wires, twisted pairs, or complex cable harnesses with an unlimited number of cables. In addition, it supports flexible cable placement. With CableMod you can minimize costly shielding, weight, and space consumption of complex cable harnesses. It consequently will save you time and money when creating a new cable harness prototype.
You have the choice to analyze in both time domain and frequency domain by using powerful 2D transmission line models. Skin effect, dielectric losses, and any structural EMC issues are automatically considered in the built-in simulator.

Why is CableMod so valuable to you?
- Intuitive and wizard-oriented user interface
- Supports coaxial cables, twisted pairs, ribbon cables, arbitrary multi-conductor cables, shielded cables, etc.
- Built-in schematic editor
- Push-button import of CAD geometry data (e.g. Nastran format) or external wiring data (e.g. KBL file)
- Library management system to store cable cross-sections, materials, loadings, and signal waveforms
- SI, EMC, and EMI in time domain and frequency domain with 2D and quasi-3D model approaches
- Interfaces to other Spice equivalent tools for easy data exchange of models
- Lets you analyze influences of electromagnetic emission and susceptibility
- Easy and industry-like viewing of loadings, terminations, etc.
- Includes state-of-the-art modeling and simulation techniques like 2D BEM
- Automatic bundling of cable harnesses with no limitation in complexity

You can easily integrate CableMod into your development workflow. Starting to find answers to SI, EMC, and EMI issues already at "virtual prototype" stage or earlier is recommended to save you time and money. You can perform for instance the following analyses: Voltage distributions on measuring points, current flow through components, scattering parameters, impedance, and many more.
For SI investigations you can use any Spice compatible device models. For EMC simulations in frequency domain there is no need for device models at all, because EMC effects are often geometry dependent.

Optional modules
SLIbis:
You can use IBIS models for your SI analyses to include the behavior of your IC components in the simulation flow.
SLSpice:
You can use SLSpice to import measured or simulated scattering parameters of components, electronic devices, and mechatronic systems, and to convert them into Spice equivalent models.
RadiaSim:
Lets you analyze the influences of electromagnetic emission (EMI) from your cable systems.
