As an ideal complement to our 2D field solver, our 3D field solver is widely usable to create models for line discontinuities, as e.g. bends, junctions, cut-outs, or vias. Many comparisons with measurements proofed those models to be accurate and especially suitable for pre-layout analyses.
Besides matrix representations R, L, C, G, or Spice lumped model one can view the current density and charge distribution on the conductor's surfaces. This graphical representation is an efficient help in interpreting the results.
